Book Event Today!

If you get the chance, join me at the Bookcase of Wayzata, the hip, pretty bookshop down by the water. The event begins at 2:00, and I'll be reading and signing Skipping Stones at the Center of the Earth.

Valley Bookseller Today; Glaciers Tomorrow

I'll be at the Valley Bookseller in Stillwater today (Saturday the 6th) reading from Skipping Stones at the Center of the Earth and signing books. Tomorrow (Sunday the 7th) I'll be at Glaciers Cafe in Minneapolis for the book release party.

Stop by if you can. You'll get a bookmark both places, and there will be chance to win additional prizes at the release party.

Here 'tis!

Isn't that the purdiest book you ever saw? With the magic of technology--PDFs, JPEGs and the like--I had a strong idea what Skipping Stones would look like, but I didn't know the title would be raised, embossed gold. Thanks, Cedar Fort, for the beautiful cover and layout. Oh, and a blogger recently wrote something about the novel I have to share.

Blogger and fellow author Shannon O'Donnell wrote this:
Skipping Stones is the most lyrically written MG story I've read since Kathi Appelt's THE UNDERNEATH--almost musical at times. The story is totally original, the characters and setting are strange and unique, and the ending was not what I expected. When reading this story, there were times I wasn't sure what I was feeling; it almost needs to settle a while, like Thanksgiving dinner. By the end, I was a fan. Andy Hueller won me over with his unique style and storytelling ability!

See you all at the book release party at Glacier's Cafe on Sunday (or earlier, in Stillwater, at the Valley Bookseller).

Get Your Copy Today

Well, that may not be true. Many bookstores have the 8th--so, a week from today--as their official Skipping Stones at the Center of the Earth release date. But still, it's exciting: Today is the publisher's release date.

The manuscript I often thought was too amibitous for my own good, the one that took me 4 1/2 years to write one complete draft of--it's now available as a beautiful book to all of its intended readers.

Hope you enjoy it.

And don't forget to see me and the book this weekend. You could see me in Stillwater at the Valley Bookseller on Saturday the 6th (2:00) or celebrate with me at the release party on Sunday the 7th (also 2:00) at Glacier's Cafe in Minneapolis. On the evening of Tuesday the 9th, I'll be at the Riverview Cafe in my very own Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis.

See you soon.
